Bridge Trio

Performers

The Bridge Trio has its roots deep in the New Orleans Jazz tradition. Drummer Joe Dyson, pianist Conun Pappas, and bassist Max Moran came together as a group under the direction of the legendary clarinetist Alvin Baptiste at NOCCA, New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts. They were his last Jazztronauts band and performed a tribute to him on the day he died on the final day of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2007. They also have enjoyed increasing recognition in the jazz world particularly since the have accompanied saxophone master Donald Harrison at venues throughout the world. These talented musicians have delighted audiences in places such as Paris, Morocco, St. Croix, French Guinea, Brazil, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and many other venues. At the same time they are also well-educated college students. Joe and Max are juniors at Berkley School of Music in Boston and Conun is a junior at The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. They are a very unique group of young musicians who stand strong as the next line of jazz virtuosos to come out of New Orleans.
