Jazz Songstress Debbie Stewart, a native of Mobile, Alabama is a vocalist who enjoys singing the classics and often times obscure jazz tunes. She began her professional career in Cleveland, Ohio where she had the honor of being the opening act for the famous jazz singer, Mel Tor me. While in Cleveland she also had the great fortune to perform with the famed jazz trumpeter, Donald Byrd.

Since returning to her home town she has enjoyed taking a place on stage with a few of Mobile notables including, Joe Lewis and Quintessence, featuring Ike Johnson; and with Jerry Ball of Mississippi. Performing with her for the 2003 Gulf Coast Ethnic and Heritage Festival will be the Urban Jazz Trio, a new jazz group that will emphasize the traditional jazz sounds. The Trio consists of Sean Morrell on keyboards, Corey Johnson on bass, Steve Jacobs on drums.
